The QUICK COLLAR is our most important water rescue innovation to date and we think it should be in every first responder vehicle and swift water toolbox in America. This piece of gear is designed for faster, safer rescues by SRTs and FIRST RESPONDERS in many types of flood, channel, swiftwater and ice rescue emergencies. The QUICK COLLAR is an ideal tool for urban rescue and rural law enforcement personnel who may ever need to execute a water rescue when technical teams are far away and/or unavailable. The device is about the size of a football and weighs under 5 pounds but has everything needed to execute effective water rescues. The QUICK COLLAR bag contains 75 feet of 3/8" Spectra-core water rescue rope in the upper compartment and our patented inflatable cinch collar (capable of lifting over 3,000 pounds) in the lower compartment. Use it just as you would a throwbag...simply toss the QUICK COLLAR into the water near the victim. The auto-inflatable collar will burst from the bag within seconds of hitting the water, immediately providing a line and a flotation device with over 25 lbs of buoyancy to the victim. In swift water, it provides a flotation device at the end of a line for quick and easy pendulum operations or, when put on over the head and under the arms, as a strong, cinchable lifting collar from a bridge or helicopter. The collar is built so that it provides a strong, secure grip on the victim during lifts to maximize safety but provides enough cushioning to avoid rib injuries. Due to its toughness and capacity for lifting heavy loads, the QUICK COLLAR can be used in the field over and over again, rescue after rescue, with total confidence. The QUICK COLLAR is currently in use by the San Diego County Sheriff's Department and under evaluation by the FDNY R&D Battalion for use by the Fire Dept. of New York. We are currently in limited production and taking refundable pre-paid orders for delivery in 90 days. We encourage you to reserve your QUICK COLLAR today!
