The SKI-TOW has been developed with and for professional ocean lifeguards to execute safer, faster towing of disabled watercraft away from people, piers, reef, rocks and other hazards. The SKI-TOW is compact and easily deployed from either Jet Ski or small boat. It features our built-in emergency release hardware system with a HUGE stainless steel snap shackle on one end and a large, high quality offset gate snap hook (for safer, easier attachment in choppy water) on the other end. The custom mesh bag comes with 30 feet of our special 5,500 lb test water rescue rope for chain-like strength in between. The increased usage of PWCs for water rescue in both saltwater and freshwater environments created a need for specialized gear to tow other watercraft and smaller boats in emergencies. It is difficult and dangerous to maneuver a PWC alongside a disabled craft, especially in waves or chop. The SKI-TOW was developed just for this purpose and makes it easier and safer for the rescuer to hook into a disabled vessel and tow it a short distance away from hazards. For swift water rescue teams, it can also be used in tandem with our THROW-N-TOW for low head dam and other situations where the rescue vessel cannot come alongside and a throw bag w/ snap hook and line is needed to reach the disabled vessel.
