This leash was designed to be used with our BUOY/FIN BELT and is made especially for LIFE 1 RESCUE by Bully's Surf Equipment using longboard leash technology. At either end, there is a triple-fold Velcro closure for easy attach-detach from buoys, belts or both. Just affix one end to the O-ring on the back of the belt and the other to a prusik in the nose of the buoy. Now you can swap out belts, buoys, cans, etc. in a modular system. This leash affords a tiny bit of cushioning when victims bottom out being towed and is less floppy than rope. For safety, comfort and injury prevention, we highly recommend that ocean lifeguards switch from shoulder straps to waistbelts (preferably ours) and this is far and away the best way to attach buoy to belt.
